This program was created by the University of Kentucky Human Development Institute with the aid of a grant from the Kentucky Council on Developmental Disabilities. In November 2007, the AAPA Committee on Diversity launched "Heads Up!," an awareness campaign aimed at reducing racial and ethnic disparities in health care.
